FAQ
Everything Auckland homeowners ask us first.
Yes. The suitability check, the indicative economics and any installer introduction are free for homeowners. See "How Beam Solar makes money" below for the full picture.
No. Beam Solar doesn't sell, install or service solar. We assess suitability, model the economics and connect you with a few vetted installer partners for instant, property-specific estimates.
Just your address and a rough monthly power-bill range. We'll ask for a few more details (how you use power day to day, EV or battery plans) inside the assessment.
No, a rough monthly amount is enough. We combine it with satellite roof analysis and your answers to model your savings.
Beam Solar draws on satellite roof imagery and Auckland-specific solar data, then layers your usage on top, a richer baseline than tools that rely only on a few self-reported inputs. A real installer's site visit is still what produces final, contract-grade numbers; Beam Solar is the step before that.
No. We only ever introduce you to a few approved installer partners we believe are a genuine fit. Your personal contact details are not shared without your approval.
You still get the full picture, payback, savings and a confidence level, so you can see for yourself. If the numbers don't look worth it, you simply don't proceed. There's no obligation and no hard sell at any point.
Typically yes, or you'll need the owner's sign-off. We ask about this in the assessment, so it's clear from the start.
The online estimate is solar only. We note your battery interest in the assessment, and our installer partners size and price batteries and hybrid systems at the site visit.
The economics model includes cash, green-loan and mortgage scenarios so you can see how funding affects payback. Installer partners can introduce specific finance providers at quote stage.
Through our platform. You message vetted installer partners from your dashboard and get indicative estimates built from your report, with no re-explaining your home to each one, and everything stays in one place.
No. The report is yours to keep, and many homeowners stop there. You only reach out to an installer if you choose to, and you can stop at any time. Nothing reaches an installer until you message them.
Auckland. Enter your address and we'll tell you on the spot if you're in range.
Suitability results are usually instant. If you accept an installer match, the installer typically reaches out within 1–2 business days.
How Beam Solar makes money
The Beam Solar check is free for homeowners.
If you go ahead with an installer, Beam Solar earns a margin on the job, a percentage of the installed price that the installer includes in your quote.
We do not sell your details to a marketplace, and we don't accept higher fees in exchange for prioritising any particular installer. Our suitability model and vetting standards are the same regardless of who would do the work.
